Add root folders in which to search for files
Unlock PVM after crashed or aborted installation
- Go to C:\Users\Name_User\AppData\Roaming\PVM (where Name_User stands for your username) and delete "PROGETTO.sqlite" and "myVideos.sqlite". Enable "show hidden folders" and delete (in the same folder) files ending with SHM and WAL.
- Go to "temp" folder and delete lock file, its name ends with "lock".
- Open a command shell (cmd) got to PVM directory (cd C:\Users\Name_User\AppData\Roaming\PVM) and run start.py.
- If an error appears take a screenshot (with snipping tool) and send me to [email protected]
Fix PVM not starting and showing "CAN'T RUN MESSAGE"
- Go to C:\Users\Name_User\AppData\Roaming\PVM (where Name_User stands for your username), open temp folder and delete the file named "started".
Add custom movie cover
- Click on "Frames & tech. info." button
- Copy movie ID.
- Rename the picture you want to utilize as cover using movie ID (in this example: cdcea5f476bd830f.jpg).
- Copy the picture in C:\Users\Name_User\AppData\Roaming\PVM\img\covers (where Name_User stands for your username) rewriting existing file.
- Restart PVM.
- Close PVM.
- Rename movie filename putting a code like MV-001 before existing filename (example: MV-001 Title movie.mp4).
- Copy the picture you want to utilize as cover in the covers folder naming it as the code above (MV-001.jpg).
- Start PVM.
Create a "machine gun" search button
A "machine gun" search button executes multiple search queries (the limit is your RAM) in a click and consequently opens multiple search pages concurrently.
Follow the intructions to create a search button but in the step 6 after copying the URL add --- at the end of the URL itself and repeat all the other steps (in the last URL don't add ---). |
Add a text2image
A "text2image" is a function that searches for a word or a pattern text in profile comments and converts it in an image.
Let's say you built all the profiles of every player of Euro 2016 and you want to see the role of each player before opening his profile.
Let's say you built all the profiles of every player of Euro 2016 and you want to see the role of each player before opening his profile.
- First of all you must download a picture (png format with trasparency is the better choice) for every role (goalkeeper, defender..) then (if necessary) resize it (I would say not heigher than 40 pixels).
- Copy all the soccer role pictures in C:\Users\Name_User\AppData\Roaming\PVM\img\.
- Download sqliteBrowser (see Suggested Softwares) and open C:\Users\Name_User\AppData\Roaming\PVM\PROGETTO.sqlite.
- Go to "Browse Data" and select patternIcon table.
- Edit the table like the picture below. In the left you must insert the role (that appears in comments) and in the right the HTML tag picture.
The table would look like this:
1 | Goalkeeper | <img src="img/goalkeeper.png"> |
2 | Defender | <img src="img/defender.png"> |
3 | Midfield | <img src="img/midfield.png"> |
4 | Forward | <img src="img/forward.png"> |

Add a "Source DB " in performer search
"Source DB" is the provenance of a profile. The default source is themoviedb.org. If you create/import a lot of profiles you may need to skim your search results and search for a performer taken from a specific site. For example, if you want to add youtube.com as source:
Go to configure -> Edit Progetto.ini and add in sourceDB section: s2 = youtube.com
Go to configure -> Edit Progetto.ini and add in sourceDB section: s2 = youtube.com
Go to performer search and you'll can choose youtube.com as source.
